• Should NOT be relied upon for actual legal matters
• Is NOT a substitute for professional legal counsel

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Defences.app offers four subscription tiers:

• Scholar (Free): $0/month - Basic access with limited features
• Study+ (Most Popular): $24.99/month - Enhanced features for serious students
• Study Pro: $44.99/month - Advanced features for power users
• Study Elite: $200/month - Unlimited access with white glove service

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis. At the end of each billing cycle, your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it. You may cancel your subscription renewal through your account settings or by contacting admin@defences.app.

5. Fair Use Policy

To ensure quality service for all users, our "unlimited" features are subject to a Fair Use Policy:

Account Usage

• Individual Use Only: Your account is for your personal use only. Account sharing, selling, or transferring access to others is strictly prohibited.
• No Automated Access: Use of bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service is prohibited without prior written consent.
• Reasonable Usage: "Unlimited" features are intended for reasonable personal educational use. Excessive usage that degrades service quality for other users may be subject to limitations.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

• Monitor usage patterns to detect abuse or violations of this Fair Use Policy
• Temporarily or permanently limit access to features for users who violate this policy
• Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activities
• Adjust usage limits at our discretion to maintain service quality

What Constitutes Abuse

• Sharing login credentials with multiple users
• Running automated queries or mass generation of content
• Attempting to resell or redistribute Service access or content
• Usage patterns that significantly exceed typical educational needs
• Any activity that degrades system performance or availability for other users

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users before enforcing limitations, except in cases of clear abuse or security threats.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for all paid subscriptions. To request a refund, contact support within 7 days of your initial purchase.

7. Disclaimer

The materials on Defences.app are provided on an 'as is' basis. Defences.app makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

8. Limitations

In no event shall Defences.app or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Defences.app.

9. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on Defences.app could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Defences.app does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current. Defences.app may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.
